Parent/Gaurdian's are by this notice advised to pay/complete their child/ward's school fees and obtain clearance from the school as no defaulter will be permitted into the school premises. Thank you.

SECOND TERM 2011/2012 RESUMES

After five weeks of yuletide vacation, Auntie Margaret Memorial High School on Monday January 16th 2012 resumed Her 2nd Term 2011/2012 Academic Session. Last week, a staff resumption meeting was held in the school to instigate the new term.
On the first day of resumption, all AMMHS teachers were in school and a good population of students turned up as lectures commenced immediately.
The previous term which ended on December 7th 2011 was successful and as the new term begins, Auntie Margaret Memorial High School is determined to continue in setting the Pace in Academic Excellence.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

After a long and busy term with curricular activities and as terminal examinations has been completed in AMMHS, the Students after these engaged in different extracurricular activities organised in the school.

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION INSPECTORS VISIT A.M.M.H.S FOR ROUTINE INSPECTION

In the bid to monitor and maintain the standard of education in the state, last week inspectors from the state ministry of education visited AMMHS for a quarterly inspection tour. A team consisting of four inspectors from the state ministry of education arrived Auntie Margaret Memorial High School during the early hours of the day, and were warmly received by the Vice-Principal Academics of Auntie Margaret Memorial High School, Mrs Grace Edet. The team after arrival commenced thorough inspection of academic records and facilities in the school.

Conferment Of Honorary Chieftaincy on Principal/CEO Of AMMHS

ON Saturday November 5th 2011, associates, friends and family of the Principal/CEO of AMMHS Ntunkae Mrs Jennifer Bassey Duke and the entire Auntie Margaret crew were all present to witness a noteworthy event. The title conferment of NTUNKAE of the Community on Mrs. Jennifer Bassey Duke
The Principal/CEO of Auntie Margaret Memorial High School Ntunkae Mrs. Jennifer Bassey Duke stunningly appeared at the venue of the ceremony in a green traditional attire as she displayed some dance steps while moving to take her seat.

TERMINAL EXAMINATIONS COMMENCES

As yuletide draws closer, so is the school calender coming to a halt for the term.

After months of intensive lectures and school activities, Auntie Margaret Memorial High School will commence her first term examinations (2011/2012 session) on Monday November-14-2011. the ExaminationS will end on November-25-2011.

Parents/Guardians are advised to clear all fees and balances as no defaulter will be allowed to sit for the examinations without proper clearance.

The Management wishes all studens a successful Examination.

Conferment of Award

In recognition of the numerous achievements of Late Chief & Obongawan Mrs. N. U. Akpan, Founder of Auntie Margaret International Schools, The Ntoe of Akim Qua; His Royal Highness, Ntoe Lawrence Ekong Etagbo (IV), the Ntoe’s Cabinet and the entire people of the Qua Community wishes to honour and appreciate this Late Eminent Personalities with a posthumous award and a street naming in the clans area after these Icons.

YEAR 12 HITS KWA-FALLS FOR FIELD TRIP

As part of the teaching curriculum of AMMHS, the pupils of year12 (SSS3) recently embarked on a field trip to the naturally endowed vicinity of the KWA-FALLS situated in URBAN, AKAMKPA Local government area of Cross River State. The trip was to practically lecture the students on the topic ECOLOGY.
All students of both arm of year 12 and four staffs aboard two AMMHS buses departed Calabar early for the trip. The students were well prepared to learn and explore the natural and terrestrial environment as they left with all tools necessary for the trip.

A.M.M.H.S MAKES 100-PERCENT IN 2011 W.A.S.S.C.E

The West African Examinations Council WAEC has released the results for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) May/June 2011. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination which was written in Auntie Margaret Memorial High School for the first time recorded one hundred percent excellent as all the students in the school who sat for the examination made very remarkable grades and no student made below the minimum grades of five credits.

NIGERIA TURNS 51

The Nigeria @50 Golden Jubilee Celebration is still fresh in the minds of Nigerians as it was a historic day in the history of the Nation. Within a twinkle, it has been 365 days since the nation clocked 50 and despite all odds, our dear Nation Nigeria has added a year to her Independence. As usual the drums of celebration were once again rolled out to mark the Independence Day Anniversary.

A.M.M.H.S TO ATTEND 2011 INDEPENDENCE DAY ANNIVERSARY

AUNTIE MARGARET MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL is set to attend the 2011 Independence Day anniversary celebration "NIGERIA @51" at the prestigious U.J Esuene Sports Stadium Calabar. The school which has already taken part in the two day rehearsals at the stadium was enlisted as one of the participating schools to appear at the ceremony on October 1st 2011. The Cross River Broadcasting Co-operation in association with the state Junior Engineers Technicians and Scientist Club (JETS CLUB) organized a three day educational interactive/competition program tagged ‘BRAIN WAVE’ .
BRAIN WAVE is an educational interactive/competition program designed to inform, update and develop not only the students but also the public in scientific areas.
